ROMÉE AVRIL is a Dutch singer/songwriter and deejay, whose sound represents her cowboy mentality in edgy (afro)breakbeats inspired by the 00s and the flow of the shore. Growing up between influences of Rotterdam and Cape Town, she has experienced the power of feeling through music from up close - leaning in to her mission to nurture a dance floor that celebrates imperfection. Romée’s deejay sets are eclectic, guiding the crowd through waves of afrosexy and bouncy trance.

Besides her technical skills, Romée amplifies her voice even more through the art of singing. Romée’s passion for performing started at a very young age, stepping into the spotlight at the age of eight starring in various professional Dutch musicals like The Sound of Music and Joseph. Romée's sound is a unique blend of power, versatility, and raw emotion. As a singer with an incredible range, she is capable of telling a multidimensional story translating her brainwaves to the tones of her voice. 

 

With a wild spirit for fashion and a background working as a fashion, music and travel editor for magazines a.o. Vogue, MixMag and Numéro, Romée started her journey as a performing artist in 2022 starting the artist training at Vocal Performance Academy, and playing at various international Fashion Weeks and national brand events. She closed the official after party of Amsterdam Fashion Week and performed an intimate set during the exclusive store opening of the Spanish brand Two Jeys. Currently Romée is traveling through Asia for her tour, and kickstarted this journey with a set at Pelupo festival.
